General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

 

COURSE DETAILS

Duration: 3 years full-time Diploma course

Intake Capacity: 80 students per year

Medium of Instruction: Marathi/English

Course commences on 1 August every year

ELIGIBILITY

  • XII (10+2) Standard or its equivalent (preferably Science) with 40% marks
  • Age Limit: Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as on 31st December of that year)
  • The upper age limit is 35 year.

  2. Microbiology

II.Behavioural Science: –

  1. Psychology
  2. Sociology

III.Fundamentals of Nursing

  1. Fundamentals of Nursing
  2. First Aid

IV.Community Health Nursing: –

  1. Community Health Nursing-I
  2. Environmental Hygiene
  3. Health Education and Communication skills
  4. Nutrition

V.English

VI.Computer Education.

SECOND YEAR:-

  1. Medical Surgical Nursing-I (Including Pharmacology)
  2. Medical Surgical Nursing-II (Specialties)
  3. Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing
  4. Child Health Nursing

THIRD YEAR:-

  1. Midwifery and Gynaecology
  2. Community Health Nursing-II

INTERNSHIP PERIOD:-

  1. Nursing Education
  2. Introduction to Research and Statistics
  3. Professional Trends & Adjustment Nursing Administration and Ward.
