Tree Plantation Drive – 5th June 2024 (World Environment Day)

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2024, MVP Samaj’s Institute of Nursing Education, Adgaon, Nashik, organized a meaningful Tree Plantation Drive under the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience.” This initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and encourage sustainable practices.

The event was spearheaded by the institute’s NSS unit and actively supported by the principal, faculty members, and students. A thoughtful discussion was conducted to highlight the alarming issues of land degradation and the importance of restoring ecosystems for a healthier planet.

Following the discussion, the NSS volunteers took part in a cleanliness drive around the campus and nearby areas, promoting the message of hygiene and environmental responsibility. The core activity of the day was planting native tree species, selected for their adaptability to the local climate and soil conditions. This ensures not only survival but also contributes to biodiversity and long-term sustainability.

The event fostered a strong sense of environmental stewardship among students and staff, reinforcing the idea that small, collective actions can lead to meaningful change. The Tree Plantation Drive concluded with a pledge to continue working towards a greener and more resilient future.
