Under the guidance of Dr. Pournima Naik, Principal of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s Institute of Nursing Education, and NSS Program Officer Mr. Vinayak Gunjal, the National Service Scheme unit organized a comprehensive Anti-Ragging Awareness Program on 12th August  2025 . The objective of the program was to sensitize students about the ill effects of ragging, promote a safe academic environment, and encourage creativity through a poster competition.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Chief Guests Dr. Devendra Patil, Director, Students Welfare, MUHS Nashik, and Mr. Balasaheb Pendharkar, MSW, MUHS Nashik. The dignitaries formally declared the event open by unveiling the anti-ragging poster and lighting the ceremonial lamp. Students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers were present in large numbers.
On the same day, a Poster Competition (पोस्टर स्पर्धा) on the theme of anti-ragging was arranged. The competition was evaluated by the Chief Guests, who appreciated the efforts and innovative ideas of the participants. Three prizes were awarded to deserving students for their outstanding posters. Certificates and trophies were presented at the hands of the dignitaries.
Dr. Devendra Patil delivered an enlightening speech highlighting MUHS policies, legal provisions against ragging, and the responsibility of students in maintaining discipline.
The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by NSS Program Officer, expressing gratitude to the guests, management, principal, faculty, and students for their cooperation. Finally, all present stood for the National Anthem (नॅशनल अँथम / राष्ट्रगीत) followed by the singing of the National Song and National Service Scheme pledge. The event ended with the rendering of the नॅशनल अँथम, marking a patriotic and meaningful closure.
